Are all the colleges offered by Lumiere, US Regionally Accredited?
Yes, in fact that is the only option we offer. There are all kinds of college credit programs available but not all are equal. Any student who is serious about getting a degree that will be recognized and accepted by mainstream academic institutions and employers, should be careful to only choose a college credits program that is regionally accredited.
What is Regional Accreditation?
It is the most prestigious form of accreditation, 85% of US colleges and universities are regionally accredited. For Instance, Harvard, MIT, Yale, Columbia etc.. . There are six regional accrediting agencies in the U.S. each one oversees institutions within their clusters of states.
Do I have to be a US student to get a US degree?
No, it is available to anyone.
Do I have to be in the US?
No, it is available from anywhere in the world.
Are all classes online?
Yes, but it does not have to be so.
Can I still get Federal Aid Assistance using Lumiere’s process?
Yes, since all colleges and universities we use are US regionally Accredited. It is only available to US citizens or US resident aliens .
Can I start taking college classes while in high school?
Yes, it's possible to begin your college education while still in high school. We can develop a program that jumpstarts your college education while still in high school. Furthermore, Advanced Placement (AP) courses taken in high school can also be applied towards your college general education requirements.
Can I use my Yeshiva / Seminary education as a way to get credits?
Yes, you can get up to thirty credits in exchange for your yeshiva/seminary learning, depending on your academic background. Credits must be evaluated on a case by case.
I have many unused college credits; can these be used to obtain a degree?
If you have 60 College Credits, you might be eligible for an associate degree without taking a single additional class and at very little cost. Please contact us for a free evaluation.
I have close to a 100 College credits, can they be transferred?
Possibly. Each college has its own policy for transferring credits. Some colleges do not accept any transferred credits, while others will accept a large number of credits. Additionally, each college or university has specific credit requirements and distribution for different majors.
